On June 11, 2016 in Bydgoszcz the first International Interdisciplinary Medical Congress iMEDIC took place. The meeting was organized by the PhD Students Self-government of Collegium Medicum Ludwik Rydygier in Bydgoszcz of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in cooperation with the PhD Students’ Self-Government of the Medical University of Piastów Śląskich in Wroclaw. Full of commitment, young scientists from these two centres, united forces to organize professional, rich in knowledge and the latest scientific meeting of researchers, on which they could share their effects of work and achievements, and broaden knowledge of widely understood medical science.
iMEDIC 2016 was the first event in Bydgoszcz on an international scale. The aim of the organizers was to prepare a meeting that will reach as many young people involved in learning as possible. Therefore, 12 thematic sessions were prepared covering a wide range of medical and pharmaceutical sciences, health sciences and elements of medical law. The achievements of the congress were presented by researchers, young doctors and scientists from Poland and abroad. Their work was evaluated by honoured guests – professors and academic lecturers united in the Scientific Committee.
